The Host is also responsible for provide a proper power supply to the whole system. It&#8217;s battery operated and provides an onboard LiFePO4 complete battery manager.<\/p>\n<p>AirSensEUR Host main characteristics are below listed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LiFePO4 battery operated. Able to run for up to 48 hours at full speed with a\u00a0single 20Ah cell<\/li>\n<li>Onboard I2C controlled battery manager with USB and Wall 5V adapter inputs<\/li>\n<li>GPS module with optional external antenna<\/li>\n<li>7V @ 200mA controlled power supply generation for sensor shield(s)<\/li>\n<li>TTL compliant serial interface (5V compatible)<\/li>\n<li>Two controlled step up converter for power up optional USB peripherals (5V@1A)<\/li>\n<li>Two USB host connectors for optional external dongles (like WiFi and GPRS)<\/li>\n<li>Based on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.atmel.com\/devices\/SAM9G25.aspx\">Atmel AT91SAM9G25 SoC<\/a>\u00a0(ARM9 @ 400Mhz) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acmesystems.it\/arietta\" target=\"_blank\">module<\/a> with 256MB DDR2 RAM and micro SD card connector<\/li>\n<li>AirSensEUR Java applications running on Linux Debian Wheezy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-4433\" data-postid=\"4433\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-4433 themify_builder themify_builder_front\">\n\t<\/div>\n<!-- \/themify_builder_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The AirSensEUR Host board is targeted to collect\u00a0data from the AirSensEUR Shield, add GPS information and push them to remote servers.
