The AirSensEUR Host board is targeted to collect data from the AirSensEUR Shield, add GPS information and push them to remote servers. The Host is also responsible for provide a proper power supply to the whole system. It’s battery operated and provides an onboard LiFePO4 complete battery manager.
AirSensEUR Host main characteristics are below listed:
- LiFePO4 battery operated. Able to run for up to 48 hours at full speed with a single 20Ah cell
- Onboard I2C controlled battery manager with USB and Wall 5V adapter inputs
- GPS module with optional external antenna
- 7V @ 200mA controlled power supply generation for sensor shield(s)
- TTL compliant serial interface (5V compatible)
- Two controlled step up converter for power up optional USB peripherals (5V@1A)
- Two USB host connectors for optional external dongles (like WiFi and GPRS)
- Based on Atmel AT91SAM9G25 SoC (ARM9 @ 400Mhz) module with 256MB DDR2 RAM and micro SD card connector
- AirSensEUR Java applications running on Linux Debian Wheezy
